Our Service dog program is something we really love providing to our clients. We believe that you should be able to truly make your dog a part of your everyday routine no matter where you are, whether it be taking your dog to school, the gym, the grocery store, inside of restaurants, hotels or even international travel!
Not only do we provide public obedience for your dog, we also can train your dog to stand between you and other people so you have the space you need. If you need stability where you go we teach your dog to always be by your side whenever you may need help with balance. If you have disability to that makes opening doors a challenge we train your dog for that as well! If you are in need of any other service dog tasks that you may need, please ask!
Some may ask, what are the requirements for public service dog access and the answer is quite simple. All you need is consistent public obedience and a prescription from your doctor stating that your dog is proscribed to you and performs tasks that are essential to you. Service dog certifications may help prepare you for public obedience, but it does not permit you to go in dog restricted areas. Personally, you can bring your dog anywhere that does not require a perception as long as your dog follows all the public obedience requirements, but without a prescription,it is not lawful to misrepresent your service dog.
What makes an eligible service dog? Your breed of dog shouldn’t be a deciding factor, but it should be decided by your dogs temperament. If your dog is aggressive and or fearful towards strangers or children than we strongly encourage and evaluation of your dog and behavior modification training before considering doing any public service work. If your dog barks are other dogs, this can be resolved through obedience. For fear or nerve issues of strange moving objects, loud machinery, stairs, escalators and elevators these things can be works out through public obedience training and behavior modifications.
Our training process is very easy as well. First tell us your needs and we’ll vary our training program according to how much training your dog already has, how much handler training you will need and what service dog training goals you may have.
